The WD TV Play is a streaming box for Netflix, Hulu Plus, Pandora and even home media. The device sells for just $69 and offers iOS and Android remote apps. For years I have struggled to find a suitable media player that would be able to play back the various video files I have on my computer. I was shocked when WD released their latest media player. The thing performs like a rock star and can handle just about any file. The only thing I wish is it had Netflix as one of the apps. Jun 09, 2010 · I have the older WD TV Live HD, and I also have a subscription to Playon.tv, which allows me to stream Netflix and other content (Amazon, Hulu, CBS, ABC, Tv.com, etc.) via Xbox, Wii, or a WD player. Netflix never worked through the WD, though. Then I re-tried it the other night and, voila! I now have streaming Netflix on my WD TV HD via Playon!
