Apr 28, 2010 · Hi, my Xfinity (Comcast) data usage have double in the last two months. I'd like to have a way to monitor data usage at the router level. Right now I have a TP-Link Archer C3150, it's not top of the line but have been working excellent for me.
One big reason I think DD-Wrt is better if not the biggest, is the fact that it is being updated regularly ( three or four times a month) so vulnerabilities and security can be adressed faster, secondly older routers are still being supported long after a manufacture's have discontinued their support or very slow at doing so. The main emphasis lies on providing the easiest possible handling while at the same time supporting a great number of functionalities within the framework of the respective hardware platform used.
